Companion interview in K Composite No.7, page 151

stephanie adele teague

Born May 25, 1984 in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina
Currently 5'7" and 110 lbs.
Favorite Atari game: "too damn young to have played Atari, but at least I know what it is."

Stephanie Teague is the youngest person to appear in this issue of K Composite. She is so young that she doesn't have a favorite Atari game, and in fact, acts proud that she even knows what Atari is. Stephanie is in the pages of her life where the plot of the story is still being developed. The years ahead will tell us what will happen as she gets all the freedom we now find her reaching for. Some people call her "L.T." but you can call this rebel without an important cause: Stephanie Adele Teague.

What is your favorite kind of natural disaster?

I love tornadoes. I've always been scared shitless of them. It gives me this adrenaline rush and it's so awesome. I love being scared. My friends and I always get into trouble and I love it.

What have you done in 1999 that you never did before this year?

Uhh, well. Some of these things which I can not reveal. But really i can't think of anything. Oh, I got my first real job at Smoothie King. I loved working there, but i had to quit for the school year. The usual. [laughs]

Tell me about your family.

Well, I'm the youngest of four. My oldest brother is 30. His name is Tim and he just got married in May out in Sacramento, California. My sister is 28, i think. Her husband is in the process of getting out of the Air Force, then they're moving to St. Louis. They have a 2-year-old little girl, Shelby. She is so adorable! And then there's Ben, he's 19. I don't think I need to expand on him. Actually, he really is an ass. Even to his little sister. And there's me, the baby. I'm 15 for those math-illiterate kids.

How boy crazy are you compared with other girls your age?

Actually, I'm not really that boy crazy at all. I stick to one guy. One of whom I'm emotionally attached to right now. And I don't think he likes me back. I hate it.

If you could visit any location in the world, where would you go?

I want to go to Scotland because of ancestry. Or Germany because I'm taking German, and it seems fun. The drinking law over there is like 16. Party, party.

How did you become the leader of your group of friends?

[laughter] Because I'm the one with the biggest attitude. It's a family thing.
