K
Composite Magazine is an infamous Louisville-born publication
filled with interviews of ordinary people ( www.kcomposite.com
) K Composite is created by Scott Ritcher, a graphic designer
and former Louisville mayoral candidate. A small staff - comprised
mostly of his former interview subjects - now assist in assembling
the magazine. The magazine enjoys a following of thousands of
readers nationwide who anxiously anticipate each new issue with
a cult-like fervor. The interviewees are generally intelligent,
attractive, cooperative twentysomethings. Nonetheless, the unpredictable
publication appeals a wide audience of demographics with its
insightful and often hilarious, easy-to-read dialogues. K Composite's
interview alumni have become minor celebrities in their own
right, receiving everything from fan mail and mix tapes to marriage
proposals and modeling offers. It goes without saying that the
gorgeous photography, layout and design found in K Composite
are an integral part of the magazine's broad appeal.
